Mango Salad

Mango is known as the king of fruits and is the speciality of the summer season. Mangoes are used to make different desserts. This fruit is rich in flavour and exported to all the world. Pakistani mangoes are known as the finest mangoes in the world.

Mango salad is a healthy salad for all those that are big on diets but still want their meals to be delicious. Addition of mango to the salad gives it a sweet punch that is totally healthy. Mango greatly compliments the other vegetables present in this salad. It can easily be eaten as a side to some meals as well. It is a simple and hearty salad which is fulfilling as well as delicious.

 

Ingredients:

·        Mango                                                              1

·        Cucumber                                                       1

·        Onion                                                                1

·        Tomato                                                            1

·        Capsicum                                                         1

·        Green chilli                                                     1

·        Mint leaves                                                     8-10

·        Lemon                                                              1

·        Salt                                                                     ½ teaspoon

·        Red chilli flakes                                             1 pinch

·        Black pepper                                                  1 hefty pinch

Directions

Step 1:

Peel the mango and cut it into cubes.

Step 2:

Cut the tomato into four parts and remove its seeds. Dice the deseeded tomatoes.

Step 3:

Dice up the rest of the vegetables into the same size as the tomatoes and mango, except lemon, green chilli and mint leaves.

Step 4:

Finely chop the green chilli and the mint leaves.

Step 5:

In a bowl, add all these cut vegetables. Add salt, red chilli flakes and black pepper to it. Extract the juice of one lemon and add it to the salad. Make sure that no lemon seeds get into the salad. Give the salad a toss. The mango salad is ready to be eaten.
